Foils Sans Typeface

Choosing the right typeface can be one of the most important aspects of your design. Learning to master the ability to convey a message and bend the font to your will is a must have weapon in the arsenal of any designer. If you don't believe me just, spend a day with the alphabet in mind. There of course are the obvious store front signage and billboards, but if you look closer at your surroundings as a designer you will notice without too much effort, type all around you. From cracks in the sidewalk, to the bite out of your cookie, even your kids toys can form letters. Knowing how engrained our alphabet is in all of us, wouldn't you think it would be a good idea to learn the personalities and intricacies of typefaces in order to have the ability to inject your design and message effortlessly into anyone who will glance at your work? This project examines all of this, and takes into consideration that even something you wrap your leftovers in can become type, art, and design.
